Why is Patrick Swayze not getting as much hype as Michael Jackson?
He was a talented Dancer,actor and director he starred in many films! Ghost and Dirty Dancing were both classics! So im sure he’s as just as much every bit talented than Michael. I bet half of you werent even born in the 80’s to appreciate stars from the past!

i don’t know why you think he doesn’t, i see so many questions about him here. but i didn’t know him so i wouldn’t know.
michael was the king of pop, and many other things. you can’t compare michael to patrick :/

Because Michael Jackson was a huge influence and made huge amount of history in the music industry they are different but Patrick Swayze was a great actor but the thing is he wasn’t known fully around the world and I am not saying he shouldn’t get the same attention from his death like Michael’s but they are two very VERY! different people Michael was known widely around the world and that is another reason he got lots and lots of attention.

1. Michael’s death was the VERY LAST thing you would expect.
2. Michael is a household name WORLDWIDE.
3. he’s more popular than patrick.

I am a fan of MJ and also of Patrick and to me both losses are equally as tragic,being more famous certainly should not make a celebrity more of a loss when they die.
Michael has more hype because of his fame its as simple as that and its sad it really is that he is considered worthy of more attention,perhaps some of it is because Michael’s death was a huge shock and everyone knew Patrick was very ill but largely its the fame thing.

Cause everyone knows michael and i think that not every kid would know the name patrick swayze. But mj is bigger thought patrick swayze is awsome
