GIRLS ONLY: Is Michael Phelps really attractive or is it just his body?
I’m a straight guy, but I can tell how attractive a guy is. But with Michael Phelps I just don’t get it! So many girls say he is hot, but I just can’t see it (I think he has a really nasty looking face). Is it just his body (that I can see, lol), his attitude (he thinks he looks hot) and his swimming skills that make him hot?
Is Michael Phelps like Keanu Reeves - more about what he does than who he is that makes him attractive?

he is incredible shape, he is successful, he is well-known, he is not ugly in the face, he carries himself with authority - he knows how hard he works at what he does and it has paid off - he has confidence … and with all his success, he will make good money on endorsements … all of these things are things women find as positive attributes in a mate … hence, they find him "all that" … a point many men should notice, it ain’t all about the looks, it’s about what makes a guy an alpha and a good mate … (a little basic, but i think you get the point)

First off, I think Keanu Reeves kinda looks like a woman. Ugh.
And now about Phelps—i know people think it’s just his body, but i personally think its his face is okay. Especially when he gets all serious…mmm. I’m guessing that what you said about his attitude and speed probably does affect how I see him. Attitude says a lot.

He’s not attractive. He’s weird. Size 14 feet and an arm span longer than his height. Not to mention being double jointed.

I think it’s just his body and the fact that he’s such a famous Olympian and also at such a young age that has so many girls attracted to him. You definitely wouldn’t consider him a loser, that’s for sure.
I personally don’t find him attractive at all, he has a good body though, but then so do the other swimmers…to me, his face is pretty goofy looking and he always has this goofy, dazed looking on his face.

Personally, I think Michael Phelps is not classically handsome. However, there is a certain boyish charm about him. Because he is so accomplished and has a perfect body he appears even more attractive to certain girls. In Athens 2004, he was much better looking than he is currently. He had a nice tan and he had a bit more hair which made his ears protrude less.

I don’t what it is…he is kind of attractive. I suppose for me, it’s his talent, and his body is ok, i just think his shoulders are nice and broad, he has an ok face, and his tallness is attractive. Overall, i think for most girls, his body and for others his skills. For me, it’s more his skills and the fact that he seems sweet and friendly.

Great body…
but his face and teeth just bother me.
And the fact that he’s excelling so much at his sport. I’m sure it’d be different if Michael was competing in only two events and winning Bronzes instead of Golds. When people don’t know a sport well and they see that someone is smashing world records left, right and center, they’ll obviously become intrigued. I guess that’s just the way it is.

He has a cute face, but I’m mainly attracted to his character. Michael Phelps had so much pressure against him and so many people thought that he didn’t have a chance, but he managed to successfully surpass all of those obstacles. He’s also an adorable guy because he’s always with his mom and I can see that he truly cares about his family. Furthermore, he proved to have more mental and physical strength than any other athlete because he truly knew what he wanted to accomplish. Overall, he just seems like a great friend and a great person to be around with

Everything about him is attractive. Not just his body. His face and everything else is to. His attitude is not like that. How would you know? He lives for swimming. so to swim. you have to work out as much as you can!

Reading all these answers are making me really mad.
A lot of people ask me why I like Michael Phelps. Okay, ill admit, hes body is great. Its very different from most athletes. But his face shows such kindness. He seems like a very genuine person.
He is really a good guy. Very kind. And respectful to his family and everyone around him. I actually had the chance to meet him. And honestly, he is just such a good person.
I guess that when you fall in love, the man you love to you is the most handsome. You dont see his flaws. While other like you do. Thank you for taking your time to read this. =]

As a woman, I would have to say it has a lot to do with personality and how you carry yourself - and Michael seems to be a pretty humble, down to earth guy.
Now with that being said, the fact that he has the sexiest body on this planet just skyrockets him to ultimate godliness.
If his face was on another body, I probably wouldn’t look twice at him but on like a scale of 1 to 10 his personality is a 10 and body is like a 50, it makes his face look even hotter…make sense??
