shadow boxing is so important. Really develops balance. And a great way to discover new combos to try out.

Wrestling is only affective in mma, if it is used with a set up. Take Dan Henderson for example. Olympic wrestler, made transition to mma. He used a flurry or a simple overhand to get inside for the takedown. Another example is how Randy Couture uses head movement and a jab, cross combination to get double underhooks. There are several different ways to apply wrestling to mma to gain advantage over a striker.

That s the 1 reson I never learned how to wrestle if someone like a boxer hits you before you can even attempt to get the down your screwed but this also a reson i want to learn Judo better than wrestling cause it’s easier to get people down
and if wrestling was as good as they say why is the show fixed

thats the thing, how do you get them on the ground, do you jump?FREE UPPERCUT..Do you grapple?FREE anything including a knee to the head
October 29th, 2009 at 7:50 pm
Hahahaha If a wrestler are a jui- jitsu persion gets them on the ground they wont be able to crack thier skull. Shit if any thing they will be brakeing one of their lims.
October 29th, 2009 at 7:50 pm
wtf this is shit. watch mike tyson videos to train from..and boxers beat wrestlers..if a wrestler tries to get close to a good boxer, he’ll crack his skull

It all depends. There are guys who charge in and ready themselves for swing kicks, or guys who wild out with punches. The thing that has worked for me is a creating distance to figure out my striking range in comparison to my opponents if I’m unsure.
October 29th, 2009 at 7:50 pm
why cant wrestlers and MMA guys learn to punch? WTF…they all look doo doo.
